ABOUT US

We are a dynamic group of people at Priceline Pharmacy Goolwa who work very well as a team.

Previously known as Simmons and Bedford Goolwa Pharmacy, we became a Priceline Pharmacy in December 2005. This was a big change as we had been an Amcal Pharmacy for many, many years. It was through customer surveys and talking to the local people of Goolwa and surrounding districts that we decided to change direction and become a Priceline so that we could offer a much larger range of products for very competitive prices. The pharmacy is owned by Paul D Simmons and Julie M Bedford, a partnership created in February 1998.

Prior to this, Paul owned and operated the pharmacy as a sole proprietor for about 15 years. Paul lives in Adelaide with his wife and 2 daughters and owns a number of other pharmacies. He leaves the running of the business to his able partner - Julie Bedford - and her management team of Julie Power (Retail Manager) and Robyn Pike (Dispensary Manager).

We have two full-time pharmacists (Julie Bedford and Patrick Kanyi) and have also recently employed a trainee pharmacist (Vinia Monteiro). Patrick and Julie are both qualified to perform Home Medicine Reviews.

With two to three dispensary technicians (Robyn Pike, Robyn Oldman and Janet Mears) helping out in the dispensary, this frees up the pharmacists' time so that they are available to speak to customers about their healthcare needs.

Other specially trained pharmacy staff (Sabine Englehardt, Kathleen White, Sharon Davies, Kristie Robinson and Jill Jessop) are available to answer your questions on minor health conditions in the Professional Services Area. Our cosmeticians (Annie Hoy and Dimity Doddridge (in-training)) are always ready to answer your skin and beauty questions and can perform makeovers in store.

Dimity, Amelia Lewis and Christine Harris, our friendly and helpful front of shop staff, are studying hard to complete their Pharmacy Assistant Training under the guidance of the Pharmacy Guild.

Our back office staff member (Janine Stevens) is a wizard at locating hard to find stock. Our Retail Manager (Julie Power) is also a hairdresser by trade which comes in handy for all our difficult hair queries.

Young Kiera Mobbs helps out in the front of shop in between schooling, teaching dance and classes at the gym.
