| Previously known as Simmons and Bedford Goolwa Pharmacy, we became a Priceline Pharmacy in December 2005. This was a big change as we had been an Amcal Pharmacy for many, many years. It was through customer surveys and talking to the local people of Goolwa and surrounding districts that we decided to change direction and become a Priceline so that we could offer a much larger range of products for very competitive prices.
The pharmacy is owned by Paul D Simmons and Julie M Bedford, a partnership created in February 1998.
Prior to this, Paul owned and operated the pharmacy as a sole proprietor for about 15 years. In February 2009 Paul reached his 25 years in the business. Paul now lives in Adelaide with his wife and 2 daughters and owns a number of other pharmacies.
He leaves the running of the business to his able partner - Julie Bedford - and her management team.
We have three full-time pharmacists (Julie Bedford, Patrick Kanyi and Vinia Monteiro). Patrick and Julie are both qualified to perform Home Medicine Reviews and Patient Medication Profiles. They have both recently completed training in Warfarin Home Management and will be part of a study beginning in a few months time. Julie is also qualified to deliver the Diabetes Medication Assistance Service.
With two to three dispensary technicians (Robyn Pike, Robyn Oldman, Sharon Davies and Bronwyn George) helping out in the dispensary, this frees up the pharmacists' time so that they are available to speak to customers about their healthcare needs.
Other specially trained pharmacy staff (Sabine Englehardt, Jill Jessop, Lyn Wiese and Maxine Miller) are available to answer your questions on minor health conditions in the Professional Services Area. Our cosmeticians (Dimity Doddridge, Sarah Clark and Kylie Bondinar-Smith) are always ready to answer your skin and beauty questions and can perform makeovers in store.
Christine Harris and Amelia Harris are our floor supervisors and can often be found hard at work in various sections of the store. Kiera Mobbs and young Amy Hueppauff can be found on the front tills to provide friendly and efficient service, and perhaps point you in the right direction should you require it.
Our Stock Operations Manager (Janine Stevens) is a wizard at locating hard to find stock and our Priceline Operations Manager (Bron George) keeps the systems and policies in check.
